Mersino provided emergency response for bypassing 30 failed
pump stations in the storm’s wake. We had a turn-key response including installation, operation, maintenance, and removal for all necessary bypass gear
We were able to design and select all appropriate pumping systems in less than one day, making it much easier to mobilize quickly following the hurricane.
Mersino was able to set up for all 30 stations in less than a week. This allowed the pump stations to start working again as normal and move wastewater again within the county. We aso opened a laydown yard to facilitate rapid deployment of replacement pumps as needed.
To this day, Mersino is still maintaining 24 of those stations. The county still continues to make critical repairs from the storm’s extensive damage.
ChallengesWe had a turn-key response including installation, operation, maintenance, and removal for all necessary bypass gear
The hurricane weather was considerably stormy, which made working conditions and traveling difficult. Many businesses were shut down, flooded and damaged. Roadways were impassible and dangerous. During this critcal time, our team came together to provide help and relief to those being affected by the hurricane.
